Em Rooney
Em Rooney’s work encompasses photography, sculpture, video, and writing—often using sculptural forms and materials to encase or frame photographs. Her specific materials, choices, and methods combine to work against the ubiquity of the photograph through their dedicational and allegorical qualities. Rooney is Assistant Professor Photography at Bard College at Simon’s Rock.
