It’s My Pleasure is a submission-based contest and fundraiser.
We are encouraging the public to honour the spaces, objects, activities, and ideas that give them pleasure. Participants will submit creative representations, images, sound-clips, videos, or writings that depict what has made them happy during the pandemic.
Submissions will be judged by a panel of community organizers, educators, and art enthusiasts in Saskatchewan. In a time that discourages closeness and intimacy, the goal of this project is to reclaim pleasure.
In light of COVID-19, BlackFlash is unable to host FlashDance and Vampire Beat, two critically important fundraising events for our small non-profit organization. By participating in It’s My Pleasure you will help BlackFlash reach our fundraising goal and continue to support Saskatoon’s vibrant art community.

Contest Rules
- Each submission is $10;
- Upgrade to $25 and receive a 1-year subscription to BlackFlash;
- Entries can be in the form of image or video files, we can accept: pdf, doc, docx, jpg, jpeg, gif, mp3, mp4, m4a, tif, tiff, png, wav, mov, mpg;
- Please do not submit original artworks or items;
- Please submit your entry via the submission platform: https://blackflash.submittable.com/submit;
- EXTENDED: Submissions close March 14th, 2021 at 11:59PM MT;
- Winning submissions will be announced April 1st, 2021;
- Submissions may be posted on all BlackFlash platforms including BlackFlash.ca, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. By submitting to the contest you are consenting to the publishing of that submission;
- The contest is a fun, casual, and light-hearted means to engage with our followers and readers. By no means are we encouraging artists to make new work for the contest;
- Please ensure submissions do not emphasize or actively promote a specific commercial brand, service, or trademarked product;
- It’s My Pleasure is a fundraiser for BlackFlash, a non-profit charitable arts organization.
