BlackFlash Magazine is thrilled to be participating in the 7th annual Vancouver Art Book Fair this October! We will be selling discounted subscriptions, individual issues, as well as our special BlackFlash Editions Subscription which features limited-edition prints from Lori Blondeau, Jayce Salloum, and Joi Arcand with every 2018 issue. Our table will also feature publications from Paved Arts and artist multiples by Jade Nasogaluak Carpenter and Walter Scott from AKA Artist Run Centre.

Free and open to the public, the Vancouver Art Book Fair (VABF) is a multi-day festival of artists’ publishing featuring over 100 local, national and international publishers, as well as a diverse line-up of programs, performances and artists’ projects. The fair takes place from Friday, Oct. 19th to Sunday, Oct. 21st from 11am — 7pm daily, with a special Members Preview on Thursday, Oct. 18th from 6 — 8pm.
Featured artists travel to Vancouver from across Canada and the globe, and produce everything from books, magazines, zines and printed ephemera to digital, performative or other experimental forms of publication.
VABF is the first and longest-running international art book fair in the Canada, the 2018 the event is anticipated to attract more than 5,000 visitors from across the Greater Vancouver Area and beyond. Previously hosted in the Vancouver Art Gallery, VABF is now located on the beautiful new Emily Carr University of Art + Design campus.
